   Competitive road cycling is one of the fastest growing sports in the country, from Road Race to Triathlon. Bikes coming through for 2012 are very impressive this year, with people like Giant supplying a Carbon frame complete bike for just £1250 and Cannondale producing a Road frame with the highest ever recorded stiffness to weight ratio - paramount for an efficient and competitive machine.

   This being said, if you're the kind of cyclist who would love a road bike but not into competing do not be perturbed! Road bike Geometries apply to both an aggressive nature and a more relaxed position - happy to go out and get some miles down in comfort. With taller headtubes and alleviated frame angles, road bikes can be both efficient and comfortable.
